Official Statement Regarding the 2026 100K Results
Following a post-race review conducted by the Race Organization in consultation with the UTMB World Series team, it was confirmed that a runner who finished on the overall podium in the 100K race used trekking poles in a section where their use was prohibited under the race regulations. As this rule is an important safety measure, the runner has been disqualified in accordance with the UTMB World Series regulations, and the official results have been updated accordingly. The prohibition of trekking poles in designated sections exists to ensure the safety of all participants and the smooth operation of the race. We will continue to strengthen our communication of important race regulations to help ensure a safe and fair event for everyone.
