Pray for the heavy rain disaster on the Noto Peninsula
I would like to express my sympathy to everyone affected by the heavy rain disaster that occurred mainly on the Noto Peninsula from September 21, 2024, and their families and relatives.
My heart goes out to Noto Peninsula where the earthquake occurred on this year New Year's Day, and where were faced the disaster again. I sincerely pray for the recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas as soon as possible.
There was no noticeable damage at Kaga, Yamanaka Onsen, the venue for KagaSpa Trail Endurance 100 Japan by UTMB, and there is no direct impact on the race scheduled on Jun 21-22, 2025 or the test run event scheduled in this Oct and Nov.
Hosting the UTMB World Series in Japan is a dream for domestic trail runners, and runners around the world are eagerly awaiting a by-UTMB in Japan. I hope that many domestic and international runners will visit Ishikawa Prefecture to join this race held on a beautiful mountain, and after the race, enjoy the history, culture, and food, so that they will talk about the beautiful and attractive Ishikawa Prefecture to their home country and local community after the go back home. And I really hope that in the future, tourists from all over the world will help the reconstruction from these disasters.
With the help of everyone who agree and the companies and organizations that support us, I will do my best to make the UTMB World Series a success. I kindly ask for your cooperation.
